Today, the Spitting Pig Wales Team only had a short distance to travel to Johnston in Carmarthen to attend the 50th Birthday party of Barry. The venue was the Carmarthen Athletic Ground in Johnston, a large sports complex & sports fields where the rugby players of the future train & play.
Spitting Pig Wales had been asked to supply one of its amazing Hog Roasts in Johnstown, using one of our own rare breed pigs, born & bred on our farm, Ffos Yr Ewig in Llanfynydd. The hog was booked in with our crackling, homemade stuffing and apple sauce. The 100 guests filled the sports pavilion so Spitting Pig Wales set up there gazebo outside, it wasn’t long before the gorgeous smell of the Hog Roast drifted into the pavilion and the guests frequently asked ‘How long before its ready?’. They didn’t have long to wait until the Hog Roast in Johnstown was carved up and served with the fresh bread rolls, homemade sage & onion stuffing and the sweet apple sauce. The guests didn’t take long to come back for second & third helpings (hungry rugby players!) finishing off the last of the hog roast. All that was left to do was for the Spitting Pig Wales Team to pack up and leave for HQ, Llanfynydd.
