Spitting Pig Wales Team had only a short 20 minute trip from their farm, Ffos Yr Ewig to the wedding venue in Cwmdu. The last mile was the most eventful, a narrow twisting track with several ‘water’ crossings but the van got through OK. The setting for Steve & Jules wedding was the wonderfully restored barn conversion and their newly built multi-purpose barn. A wedding venue today, tomorrow tractors, straw and silage! The theme was waist coats and wellies, the good old welsh summer had provided plenty of water and as a consequence mud! But everybody loved it. Spitting Pig Wales set up their gazebo close to the main barn in preparation for the serve after the wedding. The pig was provided by Steve and Jules, a free range large black and after 12 hours of cooking the hog roast Cwmdu, it just melted in your mouth. The crackling was crispy and golden, the guests were delighted with the gorgeous pork, Steve & Jules in particular as they had spent the time rearing the animal.
The accompaniment of pasta salad, tomato & mozzarella and Thai salad made this a Hog Roast Cwmdu Wedding Feast to remember.
Spitting Pig Wales job was complete and they quietly packed up and left as the guests partied long into the night.
