When it comes to luxury cars you can’t get much better than Aston Martin and Hog Roast Gaydon were delighted to be asked to cater for Aston Martin at a grand reveal of their new car, the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera based at their plant in the Midlands.
Hog Roast Gaydon regularly caters for organisations and other corporate events and has created a selection of five menus to cater for different requirements ranging from Our Firm Favourite Classic Slow Roasted Hog in a Roll or Wrap suitable for stand-up informal gatherings through to formal events that requires sit-down service. This client wanted our traditional “pig in a roll” option as an informal lunch for the staff and requested that we had enough to feed over 1000 people; clearly a large event!
As well as catering for corporate events, Hog Roast Gaydon regularly caters for private parties, charity events and weddings with varied menus to suit any occasion and in all cases, we liaise very closely with the client to ensure that all expectations are met. This includes when and where to set up and, in this case, careful co-ordination was required as we needed to setup four hog roast machines to cook the amount of food required; with an ambient temperature of 31 degrees Celsius, it was going to be a hot one! The client asked that the serving times be between 11.45am and 2pm but we needed to be flexible with timings as the guests would be mingling; clearly, the car was the star of the show but we hoped that the hog may steal a little limelight!
The things that make Hog Roast Gaydon stand out from the rest is the high-quality food that we serve, the professional service that we deliver and the flexibility that we have to be able cater for any client; big or small. With over 1000 mouths to feed, we obviously needed a lot of hog and once we got the machines roasting, many of the guests’ mouths began watering. We served over 1200 rolls at the event with some fantastic feedback about our food and service but without stealing the show; we came a close second though but nothing could beat that DBS!
