Our Formal Hog Roast Dining Experience Menu turned out to be the perfect match for the ‘Manager of the Year’ awards ceremony that Hog Roast TOWN was hired to cater for earlier on in the month.
Believe it or not, these events are among our favourite types of celebrations to handle, as we find the atmosphere is always buzzing with excitement and anticipation as hopeful nominees prepare to be rewarded for all of their hard work and dedication. This event was no different and, like the guests who attended, our team had an amazing time!
Placed in charge of putting this entire celebration together for the well-known company, was COO turned event planner (on this occasion, anyway!) Serena and her small team of assistants.
Serena had come to Hog Roast Fletching at the tail end of 2021 to make a start on the planning process, and, right off the bat, she was impressed with the sheer volume of choice we were able to offer her. She was particularly taken by our aforementioned Formal Hog Roast Dining Experience, which delivers a selection of five canapés to guests as they arrive, followed by a three-course meal with a tea and coffee service to finish. This was everything the client had been hoping for and more, but we’re pleased to share that the results on the day still managed to surpass her expectations!
When the day came, our Hog Roast Fletching team had made sure to arrive at the venue, a luxury hotel in the next town over, around 7 hours before the ceremony kicked off and once there, they set straight to work on preparing the feast.
While some of the team tackled the canapés and Gressinham duck starter, our catering manager, Rick, expertly began roasting full-size pig and whole chickens on the rotisserie, and, while they sizzled away, he whipped up the salad, potato and veg side dishes. The rest of the team had taken charge of the desserts, which offered guests a choice of vacherins of strawberries and passion fruit cream or light and fluffy cheesecake with a crunchy biscuit base.
The results were mind-blowing, according to the guests, who hungrily wolfed down the gorgeous food as the results were read out on stage.
