After discovering your dream venue, the next step is undoubtedly to find an equally impressive catering service. After all, no wedding would be complete without some delicious food, right? But as many brides and grooms quickly discover, finding the perfect caterers can be one of the most stressful and equally challenging aspects of planning a wedding. But at Hog Roast Lockerbie, we believe that this struggle is unnecessary and shouldn’t be an expected hurdle that couples face before embarking on the next chapter in their lives together; which is why we have created a diverse range of customisable packages that have been expertly designed to suit all event styles and budgets.
As always, December was a busy month for the Hog Roast Lockerbie team and in the weeks before Christmas, we were invited to help one happy couple pull off their long-awaited winter wedding. With 50 guests set to attend the intimate ceremony and reception meal, the pair had asked that we serve our festive menu – which quickly became a seasonal favourite among new and existing clients immediately after its release!
Taking charge of the occasion, catering manager Stevie made sure that there was something on offer for everyone by including a substantial veggie alternative to the meaty main course. The couple was very pleased with how easy it had been to book with us and unable to contain their excitement any longer, they updated their guests with the good news.
When the day of the wedding rolled around, Hog Roast Lockerbie made the journey to Dalswinton Village Hall where the couple had hired out a quaint function room for their special day. Working tirelessly before the arrival of the wedding party, Hog Roast Lockerbie set the tables with crisp white tablecloths and rustic centrepieces before throwing themselves into preparations for the evening feast.
The lovebirds and their guests were so impressed by the buffet service which included a whole slow-roasted pig with all the trimmings, cauliflower cheese, a medley of seasonal vegetables and homemade gravy as well as an additional option of mushroom and haloumi burgers for the vegetarian guests which went down a storm!
