The end of February and now continuing on into March has seen Spitting Pig teams up and down the country hard at work showcasing our foods and services at various wedding fairs. One of the benefits of partnering with wedding venues is that we are often then invited to their on-location held wedding fairs where their recommended wedding vendors all get a chance to showcase their products to potential wedding goers. As a caterer the wedding industry is hugely competitive – every caterer loves a wedding event because it is typically the most extravagant type of event where you get to produce the best of your services – and so these types of fairs are an excellent way to directly get not only our name out in front of potential customers, but also our faces and our foods too.
At Spitting Pig we love chatting and interacting with our guests, but often the time sensitivity or the service aspect of an event makes this slightly more difficult to do. What has been great for our teams then has been the wedding fairs that the various Spitting Pig teams up and down the country have been attending. These events get us interacting directly with potential guests in a capacity where we can be a bit more laid back and not rushing around to serve. Instead, guests come on by the booth, we have a nice chat with them, they get to learn about our services and the process of hog roasting, and they’ll even get to enjoy a free hog roast roll too! Sometimes pictures on a website or just talking on a phone or through email isn’t quite enough for both we and our potential customers to properly feel each other out, but with these fairs we get direct chats where we can also show off our foods – the real seller of our brand! It’s also just nice to actually be able to put names to faces when booking in events.
If you have any fairs near you coming soon then get yourself along and come speak to the Spitting Pig team! You can book in an event with us there and then, wedding or otherwise, or you can even just come and say hello which we always appreciate too!
